I had an interesting start to the week that I have some mixed feelings on. Thank you, Zaizen-kun, for letting me stay over so much lately. Things will sort themselves out hopefully soon and I can stop invading your room so much.

I got motivated this morning to call my sister and catch up with her. It's been a while since we've talked properly with each other, what with both of us being busy with university and living apart. Our mother tells her more than she tells me, so I got a long update on my family as well.

She asked me about my plans for New Years and I have no idea -- what is everyone else planning on doing? Eishirou, are you going back home for New Years?

... And I think I've been eating too much pizza lately. I've gained weight.

I went home, too. My dad enjoys the extra help around the holidays, so I try to get out there. This year, he and mom are taking a small vacation. I don't know what to do.

Yes, just one older sister.

Family business. My parents own a store. I grew up stocking shelves.

Ah.... I'm an only child.

That must've been good for building up upper body strength. What sort of store is it?

Sister's aren't that great, you're not missing out on too much.

...That's one way to look at it. It's a small grocery store. It's nothing special ~~to most people, but I'm sentimental about it I guess~~

Mm...I had a close friend that was like a sister to me growing up. We teased each other, but I loved her like family. I can sort-of relate. But I guess it's different when you're living with a person.

Do you have any photos of it?

We shared a room for a while when we were younger and things were a bit tense. It got easier when we moved into separate rooms.

That makes sense. The only time I've shared a room was in boarding school. That was...difficult.

That'd be quite nice, yes.

You went to boarding school? How impressive. My parents were reluctant enough to let me move here after high school. But yes, rooming with someone who's not family would be difficult. I could think of a few people I'd be willing to with, though.

Yes, for a year in high school. Samezuka. It was hard being that far from home. Is it difficult for you?

...We fought over a lot. Who got bottom bunk was a serious issue for a day or so.

I think I'd rather have you with me when I see them, hun. So you can explain things to me.

It took some adjusting and the first year and a bit was hard. It's a bit easier now that I can hang out with Eishirou again, though. That's pretty much like being at home.

Haha! I suppose that's a big issue. Thankfully my sister and I just had separate beds, not bunk beds.

I understand. I was lucky that I had friends from home at that school too. If you ever get lonely....
